COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Jan. 15, 2018—Colorado Institute for Social Impact (CI4SI) is proud to announce the second annual PRISM Awards, the first-of-its-kind community celebration of social impact businesses and social entrepreneurs.
Social impact is the outcome of a mission-driven business or a business with a higher purpose that uses the powerful economic engine of capitalism for good, not merely for gain. Referred to as the fourth sector, social impact businesses and social entrepreneurs are changing the way business is done.
“CI4SI’s goal is to create awareness of this growing sector of our economy and to celebrate those social impact businesses and social entrepreneurs who are growing our economy while creating impact for our community,” said Jonathan Liebert, executive director and CEO. “The PRISM Awards honors those businesses and individuals who are expanding the definition of business success. We are asking the community to nominate a social impact business or social entrepreneur that is impacting our community through the use of this innovative business model.”
The 2018 PRISM Awards is co-presented by Colorado Institute for Social Impact and Vectra Bank along with sponsors Elite Auto Salon, 365 Grand Club, Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center, Kangaroo Coffee, AM 740 KVOR and 92.9 Peak FM, among a host of others.
